Eligibility Criteria:

Indian Railway has some eligibility criteria to filter out the candidates before they appear in the exam. If you want to get selected as an Assistant Loco Pilot in Indian Railway then you must consider those eligibility criteria before apply for the vacant position.

Nationality Required: Candidates must be Indian.

Educational Qualification for RRB ALP 2018

  • First thing first, Applicants have passed Matriculation or equivalent examination under 10+2 system. And this examination must be passed from government recognized board or institution and ITI from recognized SCVT/NCVT.
  • If it is IIT, then it should be in the trade of Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic/ Millwright Maintenance Mechanic/ Mechanic Radio & TV/ Electronics Mechanic/ Mechanic Moter vehicle/ Wireman/ Tractor Mechanic / Armature & Coil Winder/ Mechanic Diesel / Heat Engine/ Turner/ Machinist/ Refrigeration & AC mechanic.
  • If you have a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile or combination of various stream of this engineering discipline from a recognized institution in lieu ITI will also be eligible to apply for ALP.

Age Limit for RRB ALP Job 2018

For some students, it is really bad news that Indian Railway reduced the max age limit from 30 to 28 years. many students are in shock because they are preparing for years and now they are not eligible to give the exam. You can check the video by Mr. Ravish Kumar on this matter.

  • According to updated Feb 2018 rules, Candidates age should be in between 18-28 years as on 01-07-2018.
  • Age relaxation will be provided under, subject to the submission of requisite certificate.
  • 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST Candidates
  • 3 years age relaxation for OBC candidates
  • For Ex-serviceman, up to the extent of service performed in Defence, plus 3 years, provides they have put in more than 6 months services after affectation.
  • By 5 years for candidates who have ordinarily been domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir.
  • By 10 years for persons with Disabilities (PWD) UR, (13 years for OBC and 15 years for SC/ST).

RRB ALP Salary:

  • Initial pay of Rs 19900/- Per month.
  • Pay Scale is of level 02 of 7th pay matrix.
  • RRB ALP will also get DA, TA, and HRA.

How to apply for RRB ALP Job 2018

RRB ALP job application is a completely online process. First of all, check the eligibility criteria of ALP. If you fulfill that and wanna apply for RRB ALP, then submit an online application through official regional RRB website. Keep in mind that you can apply only one application by your regional RRB. Don’t submit duplicate applications or both will be rejected.

Update 2018: You might know that Railway recruitment Board made Aadhar Card mandatory if you are willing to apply for ALP job. And I am sure that they are going to keep it mandatory for any future job recruitment.

Most probably, you already have one. But in the case, you don’t have Aadhar card, get your Aadhar card from nearest Aadhar Enrollment center. Once you get enrollment number, you can apply for ALP.

  1. First thing first, Visit official regional website Click Here. You will be at the official regional website.
  2. Click on the “New Registration” Button below if you are Registering for the first time for that regional website.
  3. A form will open. It will ask you basic details viz. Full Name, Father’s name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth, State, Mobile number, E-mail Id, Aadhar number etc. Fill them out correctly and cross check.
  4. OTP verification is a must. Go through it. It is a One Time Password which will be sent to your registered mobile number and E-mail id for validation.
  5. Get the OTPs from the mobile number and E-mail and verify them to proceed further steps.
  6. Once validated, The Registration Id and password will be displayed on the screen.
  7. You can still edit the form If you are sure with the filled information, you can apply right away. Click On ‘Apply/Edit’ option on the screen. Complete the Eligibility Criteria Form and Submit. Before submitting the Eligibility Criteria Form, be sure that all the information is filled correctly. After submission, you can modify only by Paying the modification fee of Rs 250/-.
  8.  Now, You have submitted the Eligibility criteria form. Now make the fees paid by clicking on the Payment tab. Additional options will only appear only after paying the fee, like upload Photos etc.
  9. As we said before “Fill additional details” button will appear after paying the fee. Click on it and fill up the additional details carefully. Also, upload the photos and Documents. Photos must have name & date printed on it as per the example photos provided.
  10. Final Submit: This is a very very important step. You must take a preview of everything (and be sure that everthing is correct) before clicking on “Final submit”.

Update 2018: We highly recommend using Internet banking as a payment method. We personally tested this and many students reported that Interment banking is much faster and hassle-free for paying RRB ALP fees. Still, there are options of the post office which works fine too.

How to Edit Form

  • If you made any mistake before submitting eligibility criteria and “Final submit” then it can be edited only by paying the modification fee of Rs 250/-
  • You can request a maximum of 2 modification.
  • So take a preview of everything carefully before submitting eligibility criteria form and final application submitted.

Selection Process of RRB ALP Jobs 2018

  • Indian Railway select ALP as per merit on the basis of first CBT, 2nd CBT, Computer Based AT and DV.
  • Chances are that the question will be asked in objective types format with multiple choice.
  • As we already discussed that ALP post need awareness and intelligence to make fast decisions so questions are likely to include General awareness, arithmetic, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General studies and technical ability.
  • The question paper will be in English, Hindi and Urdu and local language.
  • For the online written examination, the standard of the questions will be conformity with the educational standard.

What is Mahaeschol Scholarship

In this website, we are going to give you a full guidance about the Scholarship started by the Social Welfare Development (Samaj Kalyan Vibhag) and by the Maharashtra Government. Eligibility Criteria For Scholarship Form

As it clearly states that Maharashtra Scholarship Form is strictly for the student who is born in Maharashtra only or he/she should be domiciled in the state of Maharashtra. This means that non-Maharashtrian students can’t apply for the scholarship. But he/she is born outside of Maharashtra state but their parents are living from 20-25 years in Maharashtra. Well, in that case, students can create a domiciled certificate to apply for it.

This was regarding the birth criteria now comes the caste system, if you belong to any of this caste listed below then you can apply for it.

  • SC – Schedule Caste
  • ST – Schedule Tribes
  • NT – Nomadic Tribes
  • SBC – Special Backward Class
  • OBC – Other Backward Class

  • Your Page Will Seems To appear like this.
  • Then click on the new student registration with new id and password.
  • Then start filling up the form with required information.
  • At last, take out a final print of it and submit it to the respected School, College, or University. Now everything is online. You don’t need to take a print of it. Again, visit the link in the first point.

Mahaeschol Maharashtra e-Scholarship 2018 Update

Update: Mahaeschol portal is reponed by Maharastra Govt from 21.11.2017 for the purpose of formulating the request for the Government of India Scholarship / Education Fee Exam Fee and other Matriculation and Matriculation Online Schemes for the 2016-17 and 2015-16 colleges and schools and District Social Welfare Office.

Accordingly, all the colleges have been advised that all the pending applications on the Mahavidyalaya level have been extended for forwarding the district social welfare office till date 07.12.2017. All colleges/schools should take note of no further extension.

Update: Note for the year 2017-18, students should submit their matriculation and post-matric scholarship/education fee examination fees/scholarship / residual allowance only on the newly launched https://mahadbt.maharashtra.gov.in portal.

This Scholarship old name was MAHA-E-SCHOLAR. For 2017 scholarship registration, students are advised to check out the prerequisites of scholarship and if you fit under this, you are free to fill in the form with underwritten guidelines. The scheme focuses on providing the scholarship to students who fall under SC, VJNT, SBC category who aspire to pursue higher education. The scholarship is offered to above-mentioned students who earned 75% and above in Senior Secondary Exams. So this is the chance that Maharashtra government provides to students who are forced to quit their studies due to some or other financial drawback.

Mahaeschol E-Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

Now let us discuss some important aspects of this scholarship scheme. Since students who aspire to pursue higher studies and require this scholarship for higher education, please read out carefully these prerequisites.

  • A student who applies for the scholarship must be a student from Maharashtra. He must have a birth certificate mentioning he is permanent resident of Maharashtra.
  • Students who wish to apply for this scholarship programme must have completed his/ her studies from Maharashtra state only.
  • Students are eligible for getting Scholarship only if they have cleared Senior Secondary Examinations with 60% and above.
  • Students who wish to get funded from Maharashtra government for higher studies under this Scholarship must be of SC, ST, VJNT (Vimukta Jat Nomadic Tribes), SBC (Special Backward Class, OBC (Other Backward Class).

Documents required for Mahaeschol Scholarship

Please check the list of documents that you need to scan and provide. In case you miss any document, it is advisable to first prepare that document and then go for registration.

  • The student must have a Caste Certificate issued by some Competent Officer.
  • Must have a proper proof of family income provided under Form 16.
  • Must have Nivaas Praman Patra, also known as Residence Certificate.
  • Mark sheets of all exams passed earlier must be kept with the student while applying.

How to Apply online for Mahaeschol Scholarship

  • Open the official website that is Maharashtra Scholarship portal or click over the link provided at the end of the article.
  • If you are an Existing User, log in with the credentials you used.
  • In case you have forgotten those credentials, you can regain them through FORGOT Options mentioned below.
  • In case you are a new user, you first need to create an account.
  • For this go to NEW USER on the same page (under Forgot Password).
  • Now you need to choose whether you are initially a PREMATRIC or a POSTMATRIC Student.
  • You also need to provide correctly all the primary details that are required on the same page like Caste Category, Caste, Are you BPL, Maharashtra resident etc.
  • Once you have entered all the information’s correctly, portal demands you to enter your valid Mobile number.
  • As soon as you enter your number, within few seconds you will receive an OTP( One time password). Enter this OTP from your mobile phone correctly.
  • Once you validate your Mobile number, you will be assigned a Username and a Password that can be used for login purpose in future.
  • Once you log in for the first time with your username and password, students will be asked to enter some more details like Your Scholarship Scheme, bank details, photo, Education details, Applicant details, User account management.
  • Now you can submit the online application after checking it correctly.
  • Once you submit your online Scholarship, please wait for a while till the concerned authority verifies and approves your application for eligibility condition as per the information provided.
  • Now your application is submitted and in case you want to track the status of your application, please log in with the credentials and track it.
  • Once the site opens, click on Student Application Status.
  • Enter your Application Number and Scheme or User Name and Academic Year.
